Alex Kiprof IOCC Project
Alex Kiprof is working on requirements in order to earn a second Orthodox medal for Cub Scouts. He needs to do a project with his family that helps support a worthy organization He has chosen to put together 'Kids Kits' and 'School Kits' to send to I.O.C.C. (International Orthodox Christian Charities). They ship these emergency kits to children in need around the world.
Alex would like to ask the stewards of our church for monetary donations to support this project. The donations will be used to purchase items for the kits (e.g. school supplies, small toys) and also to pay for shipping costs to Maryland. Those who are willing to contribute, please make checks out to St. George and make a note that this is for Alex's I.O.C.C. project. Alex would like to thank you in advance for your support.
Tuckpointing Project
The tuck pointing project is completed, and we are now closer to completion of the necessary major church repairs that have been identified. The repair of the domes on the four towers will begin soon. These repairs are necessary in order to stop the leakage and condensation that is occurring.
Other major repairs to the church that are necessary are: Interior plaster repair, the floor of the hall under the church, furnace replacement, and refinishing of the entrance doors to the church. Thank you for all the support you have given to the building and repair projects.
